What do these fees include?

This fee includes one cycle of treatment.* One “cycle” is 30 days of treatment. This includes your pessaries, appointments at ISIS, blood tests, ultrasounds, the egg pick up, embryo transfer and all contact with staff.

A complimentary six months storage of embryos is provided commencing from the date your material is first frozen/imported at ISIS. Please note that ISIS will invoice you $120 every six months thereafter, should you require storage outside of this period. Any material frozen from subsequent cycles, should there be embryos remaining in storage, will be invoiced from the initial date of storage. i.e. there will be one storage fee for all frozen embryos.

*Consecutive cycles will be at an additional cost.

Description

Drugs

Case sensitive — pharmacy scripts provided.

Progesterone pessaries are provided in the fee during the 30 day treatment cycle. For any other drugs prescribed by your Fertility Specialist for your treatment cycle or drugs that need to be taken to support your pregnancy you will be given a script. We do not cover the cost of any treatment or drugs after your pregnancy test.

Interstate management fee

$800

If you intend to have blood tests and ultrasounds at interstate providers throughout your treatment, you will need to pay $550. This is because we have agreements with local providers, Capital Pathology, and Bundles Ultrasound who provide these services at a better rate than alternative providers.

Courier fees

Within the ACT — $155

Interstate — from $550

If we need to transfer any material from another clinic, this will be at an extra charge.

* Please note these costs are current as at 1 November 2012 and are subject to change at any time without notice

How do I go about moving my material to ISIS?

You will need to complete a ‘Consent to Move Material to ISIS Fertility’ form which is available from reception. You will also need to contact the clinic where the material is currently being held to complete their consent forms. Our laboratory will then liaise with the other laboratory to move the material safely.

How and when do I need to pay?

At your initial interview an administration team member will take you through the Medicare process and ensure that you understand the payment process. You will need to pay $3099 at your appointment, along with any other additional cost such as courier or interstate management fees.

We accept all major credit cards or direct deposit. We do not accept cash or cheques. If you wish to make a direct deposit please contact us a few days before your appointment to arrange the transfer.

How will I get my rebate?

After your embryo transfer we will create an account based on the treatment that you had. We will submit an online claim to Medicare stating that you have paid the account in full. They will then send you a cheque with your rebate or deposit it into your bank account, so it is a good idea to check that your bank details are correct.

When will I get my rebate?

We will submit your claim within one-two weeks of your embryo transfer. From this point, it will take 5 days for Medicare to deposit the money into your account or to send you a cheque with your rebate. This is within the time frame of most interest free periods on credit cards. Hopefully you will have your rebate back before your pregnancy test.

Must I have Private Health Insurance?

No, you do not need Private Health Insurance to have treatment as Medicare covers most of the cost of this treatment.

What if my treatment is cancelled?

Sometimes your cycle may need to be cancelled for medical reasons, this is at the discretion of the nurses in consultation with the specialist.

If your cycle is cancelled, we will need to charge you a fee of $775.70 to cover the time we spent with you and for any tests that you had. We will then give you a receipt to take to Medicare, to claim your refund of $775.70.

What happens if I am pregnant when starting the cycle?

If you are lucky enough to have this happen (it does happen!) we will give you a full refund and wish you the best of luck for your pregnancy.

What if I have any other questions?

Please contact us and we will be happy to answer any questions that you might have.
