Eligibility
The A.C.T does not have any restrictions about who we are able to treat. You do not have to be infertile to receive treatment. We are able to treat anyone who has a valid referral from their GP.
We are also happy to treat:
- residents who are not covered by Medicare
- patients who have a “known” egg or sperm donor i.e. if you have a donor in mind we can assist.
- single women
- same sex-couples.
Referrals
In order for Medicare to cover the cost of your treatment, it is essential to have an up to date referral from your GP to your Fertility Specialist. Preferably, ask your GP to make this a never ending referral to avoid any problems in future.
Even if you are not covered by Medicare, we still require a referral from your GP.
